Primatio is a rare wine produced with Apennines Nebbiolo in the province of Pavia in Lombardy. This Nebbiolo was recovered in sporadic vineyards in our area, also known as “Old Piedmont”, after having almost disappeared. The vine is well adapted to our light soils, which have characteristics similar to those of Langhe. The long growing season allows the grapes to ripen slowly and to accumulate substances that give body and structure to the wine and that give a beautiful ruby red color
